Why third-party screen recorder?
For beginner or amateur users, the most frequently happening problem is that their free screen recorder could fail to involve sounds. This is especially common when they are using QuickTime (Mac OS) or Voice Recorder (Windows). This makes the third-party screen recorder with sound necessary.
RecMaster is such a kind of 3rd-party screen recorder that is capable of recording literally any on-screen activities with sound, except for some really tough situations that all recording software will struggle with. e.g. protected sounds like DRM-locked ones – TV streams, iTunes music, and alike, the encryption tech-embedded-in-media files are not operative.
RecMaster’s Windows version offers users 7 recording modes, all support recording with intact sounds. And what’s worth mentioning is that the Audio-Only Mode is convenient to produce sheer audio files (MP3). You can use it to rip soundtracks from YouTube or something else.
Here we choose Full-Screen Mode and go to step 3.
In the next step, there are two options for your audio sources. To ensure that the videos record sounds from both the PC and microphone, you can turn on the system sound and microphone, and choose Advanced on the dropdown menu of System Sound or Microphone. Then, you can choose the right audio device, test whether it works for the recording, and set noise reduction or sound enhancements.
The webcam option is for adding your ‘talking head’ to your recordings. It will make your video more vivid and attractive. If you are using RecMaster for Mac, you can even record the screen video and the camera video in different files.
If you hope to set FPS, video quality, and video format, you can go to Menu>> Settings. Those parameters should be set according to your own requirements. If you have trouble figuring them out, you can take this operation as a reference. 30 FPS (60 FPS for gameplay recording) > original quality > MP4 format.
For more settings, the setting panel provides multiple options for cursor effect, customized watermark, hotkeys, and saving path. You can also go to Menu>> Auto Record to set RecMaster to start recording automatically and/or auto-save files in segments during the recording. If you have relevant demands over them, you can go there to check them out.
In the process of recording, feel free to annotate your videos with the annotation tools.
Hit the stop button or Alt+2 to stop recording.
Go to the Recording List, you can find options to rename, delete, merge, upload, and edit your videos. You can trim, cut, add subtitles, and delogo the recorded video.
Recording with no sound and problems could be traced back to two incentives – system sound problem and microphone sound problem.
System sound will be not recorded if your volume is muted or too low.
Microphone sound will not be recorded if the speaker is turned off or disabled.
And under one situation both sounds will not be recorded, that is once a headset or earphones are plugged into the device, even if you turn on the options.
The “Not plugged in” means you need to connect the audio cable to your computer.
The “Disabled” means you need to change it and make the “Enable” option checked.
The “Ready” means you need to set “Speakers (or Headphones)” as the default sound device.
Finally, please select ‘Open Volume Mixer’ in the system tray, and set the Device/Applications volume to 70%~90%.
The no-sound problem in screen recording is a commonly seen phenomenon, this passage lets out possible reasons for this problem and also a desirable solution to record with sound, which is the screen recorder with sound. Hope you get inspired by this instruction.
