Scheduling a screen recording is not difficult with the help of a scheduled screen recorder!

We love to watch videos online to pass time. General videos on hosting sites are free to playback at unlimited times, however, the live streaming content are not so flexible. Therefore, we sometimes have to capture and save the streaming video, movie, webinar, podcast, radio and such from entertainment or social media platforms to local hard drive, with the help of a screen recorder.

If the (LIVE) streaming happens when we are sitting in front of the computer, we can manually do the capture with capture software. What if we are away from the machine? Is there any screen recording software that features scheduling recording so that the capture will be started and stopped automatically? The answer is absolutely yes and this is where this article comes in. In the following part, you will learn how to automate a screen recording on PC/Mac with a scheduler-featured screen recorder.

Step 1 – Install and Launch
After downloading the right installer, complete the installing on your computer and open it up to go ahead. Note that Task schedule feature is only available for Windows now and the Mac version will add this feature soon.

Step 2 – Choose a Recording Mode
Recording is a good way to keep once-only content alive locally for further watching. RecMaster built several recording options in to meet different recording needs – Game Mode, Full Screen, Custom Area, Webcam and Audio only. Each modes does what the name suggests and you can choose anyone you require.

Step 3 – Set Task Schedule
When entering into the next window, click “Task shedule” to create one or more recording tasks by defining the name, setting a start and end time, choosing a recording mode and audio source. As you see, here you are free to pick another recording mode if you happen to change your recording idea. Also a word of note, if the task times are overlapped, e.g. you’ve created one mission from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on some day, you can’t create another mission from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on the same day, because RecMaster cann’t operate two recordings at the same time.

As to recording format and quality, you are suggested to output MP4 video at high or original quality or MP3 audio format for better compatibility. Frame rate value doesn’t matter too much unless you are going to capturing some high-paced moments like game.

You can enable or remove any recording task from the list. Once your task is enabled, and RecMaster is running in the background before recording, you can leave it alone to do the recording by itself. Note: By clicking Settings option on the main window, you can make an auto startup of RecMaster, as well as an auto full screen recording with a self-defined duration when the software loads.
